In a major boost for cricket fans, the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons officially opened their box office at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium (SVRS), marking the continued drive towards ticket sales for the upcoming Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) season.
Chief among the offerings is the favourite section for fans, the “Party Stand, featuring the vibes, which has been a tradition at cricket in Antigua for close to 50 years.
For just EC$65, supporters will enjoy drinks, pre-match entertainment before the first ball, and electric post-game activities – bringing the carnival atmosphere back to the biggest party in sports.
Other seating spots start at E$20 for grounds, EC$25 for the North Stand, and EC$30 for the South Stand.
The tickets box office is located at the main entrance to the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium at the south gate.
Fans can also make purchases at Rubis service stations across Antigua and Barbuda as well as Cool & Smooth outlets in the city. They can also conveniently buy online via the official website www.cplt20.com.
The Falcons will return to Sir Vivian Richards Stadium for five home matches between August 16 and 24, including four electrifying night games and one feature day match.
The “home run” campaign officially starts for fans with the Falcons home opener against the Barbados Royals on 16 August at 7 pm.
Falcons CEO and General Manager Jeff Miller expressed excitement. He said, “There will be a prematch show and an afterparty into the nighttime. Our fans have eagerly awaited the return of live CPL cricket to Antigua with our one-of-a-kind fan Party Stand, and we’re promising amazing memories and enjoyment for them beyond the boundary.”
Miller added that the event was designed to “bring energy and party to cricket on the island.”
Cricket fans are encouraged to secure seats early, as evening fixtures are expected to sell out fast. With a full slate of local matches, the Falcons are poised to light up the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium and elevate Antigua to one of CPL’s most electrifying venues.
