The Antigua Cruise Port has announced plans to host a special training programme for persons involved in the cruise tourism trade.

In a statement, ACP said as Antigua and Barbuda prepares to welcome passengers for the 2025/2026 cruise season, it is inviting what it termed ‘Destination Ambassadors’ from across the country to participate in an impactful and interactive training designed to inspire pride and unforgettable experiences at every guest touchpoint.

“Taking place on Tuesday, August 26 and Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the “Leading For Excellence” workshop will be led by Ms. Claudine Pohl of Lemoneight, an internationally respected cruise tourism consultant known for her dynamic and engaging sessions,” ACP said in a media release.

“The goal of this two-day program is to unite cruise tourism stakeholders – including taxi drivers, merchants, vendors, tour operators, traffic wardens and even police officers; ensuring that everyone representing our destination on the hospitality front-line of guest experiences is aligned with keeping Antigua and Barbuda ‘Anchored In Cruise Excellence’, said Mr. Elijah James, Marketing and Communications Manager at Antigua Cruise Port, “It’s all about exceeding expectations. We must ensure that everyone contributes to creating memorable moments that visitors will cherish long after coming ashore to explore our vibrant culture and stunning attractions.”

Interested persons are asked to register as soon as possible as space is limited.
