The Development Control Authority says vending is strictly prohibited along the section of Sir Sydney Walling Highway near Neverland Amusement Park, the new Tranquility Park Public Cemetery and the ABFA Technical Training Centre.
In a public notice, the DCA says vendors must immediately cease operating in these areas and says its officials will be actively monitoring the area to enforce this restriction.
The DCA says the restrictions are necessary because these locations have been deemed highly dangerous due to frequent vehicular accidents, posing a serious risk to both vendors and motorists.
It says there has been an uptick in unauthorized vending continues, particularly on weekends, despite multiple warnings and notices.
The DCA is asking vendors seeking a safe and regulated space from which to operate to contact the Lands Division.
