CXC Results to be Released in Time Frames
Monday 12th August, 2019-Ahead of the release of results for the May/June CSEC and CAPE examinations, the Caribbean Examinations Council has announced a new measure that will prevent its website from being inundated when thousands of candidates attempt to access their grades.
In a statement, CXC recalled in the past, students may have experienced access issues due to the high volume of traffic received on the CXC website, where the results were scheduled to be released at 10:00 p.m. EST, on release dates. But this year, in order to ensure that students have easy access to the results portal, CXC will release results at varying times throughout the day tomorrow (Tuesday) and on Wednesday.
CXC announced that the new approach will mean decreased numbers of students visiting the website at one specific time. Results will be released to specific countries for a window of time between two to three hours on release dates. Subsequently, results will be available freely until the portal is closed.
The CSEC and CAPE results for Antigua and Barbuda and 14 other territories will be released between 9-11am tomorrow. For Barbados and Guyana, the results will be available from 11:15-2:15pm.
Jamaica will be from 2:30-5:30 pm and Trinidad and Tobago, from 5:45-8:45 pm.
CXC says as it marks the 40th anniversary of offering CSEC® exams, the organisation remains committed to preparing students of all ages, abilities and interests for an ever-changing, competitive, global employment market, through the provision of the highest quality syllabuses; valid and reliable examinations and certificates of international repute.
