Customer-Care Training for Immigration Officers

The Immigration Department is launching a two-week training workshop today in customer care for all its staff under the theme “Managing the Customer Experience.”

“In an effort to continue the department’s commitment to all employees for continuous training and development, there will be a series of interactive customer service sessions over the next two weeks. These sessions will be hosted by Ms. Shirlene Nibbs of Nibbs and Associates and are geared towards ensuring all employees are equipped with the necessary tools for improving the quality of the customer service experience within the Department of Immigration,” Chief Immigration Officer, Katrina Yearwood said. 

The training sessions will be held from 19th April to 4th May 2021 from 9:00 a.m.  to 12:00 noon each day in the conference room of the Tradewinds Hotel, Hadeed Street, Dickenson Bay. The staff at the department will be rotated over the period of the workshop to ensure that each one gets an opportunity to attend the training.

Based on the current restrictions, the department is advising its staff that COVID-19 protocols will be in full effect for the duration of the workshop.
