Antigua and Barbuda’s Comptroller of Customs, Raju Boddu, has been rewarded for his sterling stewardship of the finances of the World Customs Organisation, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.
Reports from the annual WCO meeting state that Comptroller Boddu has been unanimously re- elected as Chair Person of the Finance Committee of World Customs Organization for a record consecutive third term.
According to the reports…the United Kingdom proposed the re-election while the remaining members consisting of Azerbaijan, China, Dominican Republic, Gambia, India, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, the EU, Saudi Arabia, Spain and the USA all supported the motion.
The reports state that each country spoke eloquently about the stewardship of Antigua and Barbuda and lauded the contribution of the Caribbean nation in leadership in overseeing the finances of WCO.
