Political first-timer, Bonita John, appears not to be deterred by her electoral defeat in the March Barbuda Council Elections; in fact, she appears to be more motivated by the loss than anything else.
This as she continues to demonstrate unwavering commitment to the people of Barbuda through her Civic Pride Initiative.
Running on the ABLP ticket, John has not allowed the outcome of the election to deter her from making a positive impact. She has been actively reaching out to the less fortunate and is currently leading a cleanup of the Pearl Harbour area. With the use of backhoes and trucks, she and her dedicated Civic Pride team worked tirelessly over the weekend to ensure the area was left spotless.
“Good job, Bonita John! Keep up the great work and community spirit,” is a sentiment often heard in Barbuda in recent weeks.

She has been consistently reaching out to residents, particularly the less fortunate, offering support and lending a helping hand wherever needed.
