The bank has continued its commitment to education by presenting its cheque for $25,000 to the Ministry of Education, Sports and Creative Industries.

Speaking during the presentation Country Manager, Ladesa James Williams announced that from next year, in addition to the ongoing sponsorship, the bank will be introducing the CIBC Caribbean Volunteerism Award, recognizing Grade 6 students who give back to their community.

“This award will celebrate graduating Grade 6 students who demonstrate a genuine spirit of service and responsibility by giving back to their community in meaningful ways. The winner will receive a CIBC Caribbean Sure Start savings account with EC$1,000,” she explained.

The criteria for selection include commitment to service, impact on others, leadership in action and character and values.
