Chargers Eagles 1 stay top of Women’s Division 2 Volleyball League

The City South Municipal Foundation Inc., Townhouse Furnishings, CIU, and MKUU Tours Chargers Eagles 1 have maintained their perfect record and continue to lead the standings in the women’s division of the Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association’s (ABAVA) Second Division Development League.

The Chargers Eagles 1 claimed their fifth win in as many games after being awarded a 2-0 victory by default against DHS, Print Xpress and Auto Craze Royal Cruisers 2, who were unable to field a team for their encounter at the indoor volleyball stadium at the YMCA Sports Complex on Sunday.

The Chargers Eagles 1 were awarded victory via a 25-0, 25-0 scoreline against Royal Cruisers 2, who remain second from the bottom of the nine-team round-robin competition after suffering their fifth defeat in six games.

Chargers Eagles 2 also claimed victory by default after High Flyerz Valkyries failed to show up for their Women’s Division 2 League encounter.

The Chargers Eagles 2 were awarded victory via a 25-0, 25-0 scoreline to secure their third win in four games, while the Valkyries lost for the third time in five encounters.

Defending Women’s Division 2 champions Paragons 2 notched up their second win in five games by pulling off a 2-0 victory against Dynasty Queens 2.

The Paragons 2 took 58 minutes to record their 25-8, 25-14 victory against Dynasty Queens 2, who remain winless and in the cellar without any points after suffering their fifth loss in as many games.

TOA Media & MKUU Tours Chargers Velocity won their latest match to join Stoneville 2 at the top of the four-team Men’s Second Division League.

The Chargers Velocity defeated the Sharks 2-0 to record their fourth win in five games. The Chargers Velocity took 46 minutes to prevail 25-15, 25-23 against the Sharks, who remain in the cellar after suffering their sixth loss in seven encounters.

Stoneville 2, who are yet to lose a match, are now joint leaders with Chargers Velocity with a perfect four wins from as many games.
