The Cedar Grove community is celebrating the outstanding achievements of one of its own, Sunnika Joseph, who has soared to incredible heights in her civil aviation training in Trinidad!

Reports from Trinidad indicate that not only did Sunnika successfully completed her specialized training as an Air Traffic Controller, she emerged at the top of her class as Valedictorian, and received the Academic Excellence Award and the Outstanding Practical Performance Award.

Sunnika was one of seven Air Traffic Controllers from Antigua and Barbuda selected for this training under the government’s commitment to strengthening the aviation sector.

Parliamentary Representative and Aviation Minister Charles Fernandez emphasized, “With the continued growth in air traffic, it is critical that we equip our air traffic controllers with the necessary skills to handle our airspace safely and efficiently.

“Your achievements, Sunnika, are a shining example of discipline, brilliance, and national pride. You have made Cedar Grove and the entire Rural North community beam with pride.”
