CBH Gives Delightful Kitchen All Clear
Friday 14th September, 2018-Delightful Kitchen on Old Parham Road was given the green light Thursday evening to re-commence operations, after it was forced to shut down its business, when photos surfaced of food being prepared in unsanitary conditions.
After the photos were made public, the Central Board of Health subsequently dispatched its health inspectors to the restaurant’s kitchen, where they found several violations that ranged from poor refrigeration of food, cracked walls and poor sewerage and waste water disposal.
Acting Chief Health Inspector, Sharon Martin, says the restaurant was made aware of the violations and following several visits by inspectors to the establishment, they are satisfied that the CBH’s requirements were met for re-opening.
Martin says her department will be stepping up their visits to restaurants around the island, adding that those that are in the business of food preparation have an obligation to their patrons.
