In the heart of the islands where sunshine beams,
Carnival bursts with colors and dreams.
Feathers fly high, and steel pans play,
But what if we danced in a greener way?
We chip down the road with rhythm and wine,
Let’s add a message to make it divine.
While costumes dazzle and music ignites,
Let’s shine some love on eco-rights.
Confetti falls like tropical rain,
But plastic waste leaves a lasting stain.
So as we jump up, wave and whine,
Let’s think of the Earth each and every time.
Reduce the glitter that won’t biodegrade,
Choose eco-glam for the costumes we made.
Reusable cups for your drinks on the go,
Say “no thanks” to the Styrofoam show.
Ban the balloons that drift to the sea,
Protecting the turtles, the fish, and the reef.
Recycle your bottles, separate cans,
Join the movement—be part of the plans!
It’s time for action, not just a show,
Let your conscience dance with every “jo.”
From the road to the fete, let’s do it right,
Party with purpose deep into the night.
The SDGs give us the guide,
For justice and climate to stand side by side.
Goal Thirteen says take urgent steps,
To cool the world and clean up the mess.
Goal Fourteen calls for life below waves,
Protecting the oceans that cradle our bays.
And Fifteen reminds us of trees and the land,
So wine and plant trees with your beautiful band!
Goal Twelve speaks of how we consume,
From glitter and gas to the floats we groom.
Let’s compost, reuse, rethink and repair,
Bring back the balance and cleaner air.
Goal Eleven wants cities so fine,
With transport that’s green and smart design.
And Seventeen—partnership, bold—
Together we rise, together we hold.
March in a section with banners that shout:
“Carnival’s GREEN—no need to doubt!”
Eco-warriors with rhythm and soul,
Celebrating culture while keeping control.
Imagine a truck that runs on the sun,
Or a costume parade where waste weighs none.
Vendors with dishes made out of leaves,
And dancers that plant while wiping their sleeves.
What if each fete had bins that were clear,
For plastics, organics, and bottles of beer?
What if the winners weren’t just in bling,
But crowned for the change their efforts bring?
We’re not here to cancel, we’re here to create,
A Carnival future that’s truly great.
Not just for us, but the next generation—
A cleaner, greener, vibrant nation.
So when you’re jumping and hands are high,
Think of the birds that soar in the sky.
When you’re drinking and singing under the moon,
Remember the Earth is watching you soon.
Call to the bands, to the kings and the queens,
To eco-designers with sustainable dreams.
Call to the DJs, the mas-makers bold,
To rewrite the story that’s never been told.
This is the season of joy and flair,
Let’s also show the world we care.
Let’s make a vow as we chip and move,
To let Carnival and climate groove!
So march to the rhythm of action and light,
With every “dutty wine” do what is right.
The planet is calling, it’s time to respond—
Let’s party with purpose and build a new bond!
