The Antigua Trades and Labour Union has announced that it has reached an agreement on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement with the National Park Authority which provide for a significant boost in salary for line staff.
AT&LU President Bernard de Nully said the two entities are discussing the formal signing ceremony for the new agreement that runs from 2025 to 2027. Under the agreement, line staff at the NPA will receive an increase on salaries and wages of 11 percent.
The union president revealed that this was the first time that the line staff would be receiving this rate of increase on their remunerations.
According to de Nully the line staff accepted the 11 percent increase bringing a successful completion to the intense negotiations between the union and the statutory board that lasted for approximately eleven months. The negotiations were led by de Nully.
Preparation for the signing the agreement has commenced and further details will follow as the new CBA covers the wellness of the worker.
