APUA To Resume Talks With PV Energy
Friday 17th May, 2018 –Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) has been instructed to resume negotiations with PV Energy the company of which Peter Virdee has interests.
PV Energy is responsible for completing 10 megawatts of green/solar energy across the island. But the project was stalled after PV Energy demanded payment ahead of the completion of its work.
Peter Virdee is accused of fraud and tax evasion under the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme and recently reports of phone calls allegedly intercepted by German authorities and contained in a Court Judgment in London has further implicated the British property tycoon of bribery.
According to Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Melford Nicholas, any project that Mr. Virdee has had an interest in continues to be valid.
