Antiguan Man Faces Drug Charges
Tuesday 24th July, 2018-A 58 year-old Antiguan man will appear in court on Wednesday charged with Possession of Cannabis, Being Concerned in the Supply of Cannabis, and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply.
Kitson JARVIS of Cedar Valley Gardens was arrested on Monday in connection with the discovery and seizure of the drugs, following a counter-narcotic operation by the Office of National Drug Control and Money laundering Policy (ONDCP).
A search of an apartment complex yielded a total of 2.375lbs of Compressed Cannabis, currencies totaling One Thousand and Thirty-Five EC Dollars ($1,035.00 ECD) and several PVC barrels which are similar to those previously used in the importation of cannabis which were subsequently seized by the ONDCP.
The ONDCP says it was able to disrupt the drug trafficking syndicate with connections to North America where the barrels originated.
