Antigua and Barbuda is being represented at the 7th Sitting of the OECS Assembly which opens in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Tuesday (today).
Foreign Affairs Minister, E.P Chet Greene, is representing Prime Minister Gaston Browne as the head of the Antigua and Barbuda delegation. He is accompanied by Senior Foreign Affairs Officer, Kurt Williams.
Host Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves, Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will welcome OECS Heads of Government; Director General of the OECS; representatives from the parliament of each full Member State and the legislature of each Associated Member State; and Members of the Opposition.
Reports from the OECS Secretariat announced that the proposed regional legislation of the Eastern Caribbean Economic Union regime, developed by the OECS in consultation with the Member States, is set to be debated.
The Assembly meeting will be convened under the theme: Strengthening Regional Unity in a Shifting Global Order. The OECS Assembly is a regional parliament consisting of representative parliamentarians from all OECS member states, both government and opposition.
