The All Saints Road remains the last of the major road arteries into the city that has so far been untouched by the government’s intensified road construction and rehabilitation initiative…but that will change shortly.

Newly appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Works, Senator Clement Antonio said he expects work on the All Saints Road will commence by the last quarter of the year.

He said the roadway requires much engineering to ensure that when completed it will last for a long time. Senator Antonio revealed that discussions are underway with a number of contractors who have expressed an interest in securing contracts to undertake the work.

“The All Saints Road has taken a lot of design interventions and we have been looking at this and we have set a timeframe for the last quarter of the year for work to commence. We are engaging different contractors and the public will be informed as to the roll out of the re-construction of the All Saints Road,” Senator Antonio told reporters gathered at government House for his Swearing in as a Minister of State in the Ministry of Works and Housing.

According to the Senator…All Saints Road remains a priority of the government and he is asking the public for patience as the preliminary work on the roadway continues.
