39-year-old Teshawn Steve Lynch of All Saints, a person known to the court, who was arrested on Friday after a police unit conducting an early morning ‘stop and search’ found him in possession of the illegal substance, cocaine.

Reports are that the police were on the road at around 5:30 in the vicinity of the Midway Service Station when one of the police officers noticed a white motor van – C 21898 – traveling south to north driven by the defendant. The officer signaled for him to stop which he did. The officer then asked if he could conduct a search of the vehicle and the defendant consented.

A search of the vehicle found nothing but when permission was sought by the officer to conduct a search of his person and Lynch consented, the officer found two transparent bags with what appears to be the controlled substance, cocaine. The drugs were found in the waste-band of Lynch’s underwear. When the officer questioned him about the substance, Lynch confessed that it was ‘cocaine fu me fu smoke’.

The police then obtained a search warrant and conducted a search of his All Saints home where, with the aid of the K9 officer, a metal flask was found partially buried in the backyard. When opened, it was found to be full of transparent bags with the substance, cocaine.

Lynch was arrested and charged for the possession of 293.5 grams of crack/cocaine.

He made a court appearance on Monday at which time he pleaded guilty.

The presiding magistrate ordered that he be remanded and to return to court on October 2, 2025, for sentencing.
