The Antigua Grammar School and Clare Hall Secondary have advanced to the final of the Ministry of Sports Schools’ Cricket Under-15 30-Over Championship.
Both teams booked their spot in the final by securing victories in the semi-finals on Wednesday. Antigua Grammar School claimed a 10-wicket victory against All Saints Secondary at the Rising Sun playing field.
All Saints Secondary was dismissed for 44 in 12 overs. Isiah Harris snapped up three wickets for four runs, T’Andre Charles grabbed three wickets for nine runs, while Deshawn Hoyte and Leonardo Ducrey each picked up a wicket.
In reply, Antigua Grammar School achieved victory by scoring 45 without losing a wicket. Ducrey hit an unbeaten 19, and Shane Walsh scored 16 not out.
Clare Hall Secondary clinched a four-wicket win against Jennings Secondary at the Clare Hall playing field.
Jennings Secondary was restricted to 70 for eight in 11.2 overs. Oziah Robertson hit 14, and Estan Hill scored 11. Ian Jeremiah snapped up four wickets for seven runs.
In reply, Clare Hall Secondary achieved victory at 72 for six in 10.3 overs. Charles Abbott struck 22, and Jayden Charles scored 17. Dequan Cochrane captured five wickets for 19 runs.
Clare Hall Secondary and the Antigua Grammar School will clash in the final at the Antigua Recreation Ground (ARG) on Friday (today), starting at 12 noon.
