Acting Commissioner Meets Rank and File Members of Force
Wednesday 11th April, 2018 – Scores of rank and file members of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda converged at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Grounds for the first meeting chaired by the Acting Commissioner of Police.
The meeting was convened almost a week after Atlee Rodney was appointed to act as the Top Cop of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda, following the suspension of Wendell Robinson.
Mr. Robinson was suspended last Thursday by the Police Service Commission for claims made against him of questionable conduct.
The acting commissioner told POINTE FM’s Nightly News while addressing the men and women in uniform this morning, he appealed for their continued support and encouraged them to stay focused on their responsibilities, despite the current circumstances.
Commissioner Rodney revealed that his two deputies, one being Albert Wade also addressed the meeting.
Before his appointment to act as Commissioner of Police, Atlee Rodney served as Deputy Commissioner of Police.
