ABS Employees to Meet with Labour Minister

Monday 25th February, 2019-Employees of State owned Radio and Television are remaining hopeful that the intervention of Labour Minister Steadroy Benjamin will bring about a resolution to their long running dispute with management.

A meeting will be convened at the office of the Hon. Steadroy Benjamin on Tuesday at 10 A.M to address the concerns of employees who took industrial action last week.

ABS employees moved into day three of protest action today.

Shop Steward Kerrio Adams speaking ahead of Tuesday’s meeting says he wants discussions to go beyond the recent deductions of monies from employees’ salaries who staged industrial action in December.

Asked what is the main objective of some members of staff, Kerrio Adams noted it is to see the back of the station’s general manager.
