Antigua and Barbuda has appointed André Hill as its Honorary Consul to the Bahamas, effective immediately. Hill recently met with Foreign Affairs Minister E.P. Chet Greene and senior ministry staff to discuss his new role and responsibilities within the ministry’s policy framework. As Honorary Consul, Hill will work to maintain the strong ties between Nassau and St. John’s. His duties include seeking trade and investment opportunities for Antigua and Barbuda while promoting the country’s interests in the Bahamas. Additionally, he will serve as the primary contact for Antigua and Barbuda nationals in the Bahamas requiring consular services, as explained by Director General for Foreign Affairs, Ann Marie Layne. Hill, a lawyer by profession, has been residing in the Bahamas due to his marriage to a Bahamian. He is the son of former Attorney General Radford Hill and current Registrar of the High Court, Cecile Hill.
