Professor Zhang Xingwei, the head of the delegation, Director of the Affiliated Hospital and Dean of the School of Clinical Medicine of Hangzhou Normal University, and a renowned cardiovascular expert, delivered a lecture at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre in Antigua and Barbuda on the topic of The Construction and Management of Chest Pain Centers.

In his lecture, Professor Zhang systematically explained the achievements of Chest Pain Centers in China, the multi-departmental collaborative treatment model employed at the Chest Pain Center of the Hangzhou Normal University Affiliated Hospital, and the practical experience in significantly reducing treatment times to improve survival rates for acute myocardial infarction (heart attack).

The lecture, enriched with real-life case studies, emphasized the importance of public education and social collaboration. Professor Zhang also engaged the audience in lively discussions on topics such as pre-hospital electrocardiogram interpretation and the differentiation of atypical chest pain.

Senator Clement Antonio of Antigua and Barbuda and Lisa John-Weste, Director of the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, attended the lecture.
