The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) St. John’s Rural West Branch hosted a special appreciation luncheon this week in honour of more than 60 longstanding constituents who have played a pivotal role in shaping the constituency and for supporting the branch over the years.

The event was held to recognise the contributions of the community’s “pillars”—individuals whose dedication, loyalty and hard work have strengthened the branch and helped nurture growth across St. John’s Rural West. Attendees were treated to a warm, celebratory atmosphere where fellowship, gratitude and community spirit were at the forefront.

Branch representatives noted that the luncheon forms part of their continued commitment to acknowledging those who paved the way and ensuring that the people who have given so much to the constituency feel valued and appreciated.

Among the attendees was community member Carol Bird, who shared her appreciation for the thoughtful gesture.
“It was a very good gesture—strong team and very strong and dedicated supporters,” she said. “I am really thankful I came.”

The branch reaffirmed that events like these not only honour past contributions but also help strengthen community bonds as they continue working together for the advancement of St. John’s Rural West.
