The case against Junior Emmanuel of Grays who the police arrested and charged with larceny on Saturday has been adjourned until March 4, 2026.
The police reported that Emmanuel, who resides at Federation Road, Grays Farm, allegedly stole one (1) fanny pack containing a United Kingdom Passport, one (1) Samsung A30 cellphone, and an undisclosed sum of US currency, belonging to a visitor.
Emmanuel appeared before a magistrate on Monday to answer the charge when the case was adjourned. He was denied bail based on several factors; firstly, was the seriousness of the crime, one involving a visitor to the country. Secondly, he was released from prison in June this year for a conviction of robbery with violence. There was a consideration of public safety with someone with his history being out on the streets.
