The Social Protection Board (SPB) is reaching out to the less fortunate in the several communities in the country to celebrate Independence with the delivery of food packages.
“As we celebrate our nation’s Independence, the Social Protection Board proudly joins in the spirit of unity, gratitude, and service to our people. This year, in the true spirit of independence and compassion, our teams will be out in the communities distributing food packages to our beneficiaries, bringing hope, comfort, and joy to homes across our beautiful nation,” a media release from the Board stated.
Manager of Operations at the SPB, Mary Baltimore extends sincere gratitude and thanks to the Minister of Social Transformation, Rawdon Turner, whose vision and generosity have made this possible. “Minister Turner truly started Christmas in October! His unwavering support and leadership continue to inspire us all, reminding us that independence means not only freedom but also the power to uplift one another,” Baltimore noted.
The director of operations also expressed her appreciation to the staff of the SPB for their dedication and timeless efforts, including working late into the night, to ensure that no family is left behind. “I say a heartfelt thank you. Your commitment and compassion embody the true spirit of national service,” she added.
Baltimore also thanks Inspector Veldon Ragguette, who has been a ‘shoulder to lean on’ through every challenge.
