Antigua and Barbuda is expected to welcome in access of One-million visitors during the 2025-26 cruise tourism season which officially kicked off on October 1, 2025.

The Antigua Cruise Port announced the start of the season with the arrival of the Rhapsody of Seas which sailed into port on October 2, bringing a buzz of excitement and the promise of a record-breaking cruise season ahead.

According to ACP, the 2025-26 cruise tourism season runs from October 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026, and its bookings indicated that the 1-million cruise passengers mark will be topped during the season. The ACP said this represents an increase of 33% over the previous season — reflecting the strong demand and the growing popularity of Antigua and Barbuda as a top Caribbean cruise destination.

It said work continues to advance on the Upland Development Project, bringing Antigua Cruise Port closer to delivering a state-of-the-art cruise terminal designed to enhance the visitor experience, streamline homeporting operations, and welcome P&O’s Arvia by November 15, 2025. The terminal will feature a host of modern amenities and upgraded check-in facilities.

“This cruise season promises to be our busiest yet,” said Gasper George, General Manager at Antigua Cruise Port. “We are thrilled to welcome the first ship of the season and with our new Upland Development on the horizon, Antigua Cruise Port is poised to deliver on the commitment to building a world-class, future-ready port!” Mr. George continued – “Thanks to the dedication of our tourism partners and team members, Antigua Cruise Port has enhanced our facilities and service levels this summer, setting the stage for a truly memorable cruise season ahead.”

The October schedule of cruise calls shows that there are ten calls listed for the month. With two already completed, it means that there are eight more cruise calls for the remainder of the month.
