The Government of Antigua and Barbuda, through the Department of Environment
under the Ministry of Health and Environment together with the Ministry of Social
Transformation, has signed a Program Execution Agreement with the General
Secretariat of the Organization of American States (GS/OAS).
The agreement establishes the implementation of a new initiative titled
“Empowering Women and Underserved Communities through Solar Technology
and Climate-Resilient Housing Training in Antigua and Barbuda.”
This initiative is supported by a US$125,000 contribution from the OAS
Development Cooperation Fund (DCF) and aims to enhance climate resilience,
provide practical skills, and empower local communities.
