A 37-year old All Saints man has been treated at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for non-life-threatening wounds allegedly sustained during a shooting incident in Bendals on Tuesday afternoon.
The police say they are currently conducting further investigations into the shooting incident.
According to police reports it was reported that around 12:30 p.m., a 37-year-old man was driving from east to west along the road leading from Pioneer Kennels, when a man approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, dressed in a black hoodie, black pants, and armed with a gun, exited a parked vehicle and opened fire at him.
In an attempt to escape, the victim’s vehicle collided with a fence and another vehicle along Bendals Main Road. He sustained a gunshot wound to his right hand and was transported to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre, where he is currently receiving treatment. His injury is not believed to be life-threatening.
The suspects were last seen fleeing the area in a white Honda Fitz motor car.
