The Ministry of Works continues its island-wide road construction programme with teams working simultaneously in several communities across Antigua.
One of the successes that the ministry has been celebrating is its accomplishment on Tuesday where 90 yards (270 feet) of concrete were poured on roads in Cedar Grove.
Other communities that are experiencing the road construction initiative include Golden Grove Extension which the ministry announced is receiving resilient concrete roads, as it delivers on its commitment to island-wide road infrastructure upgrades.
The ministry is also reporting that extensive work has been done to upgrade Anchorage Road including drainage and sidewalk upgrades, resurfacing, improving junctions, and placing road markings.
Based on what has been achieved so far, the ministry has expressed heartfelt thanks to all its team members and partners, including the Project Implementation Management Unit (PIMU), C.O. Williams, and the Antigua Barbuda Transport Board (ABTB).
The ministry is reporting that following recent major reconstruction, Fort Road now stands freshly paved with road markings being painted daily and full completion is just around the corner.
With its multiple teams in the field, the ministry revealed that Belmont is receiving resilient concrete roads, as part of the commitment to island-wide road infrastructure upgrades.
