The Halo Foundation has announced a key partnership with two entities to provide restorative vision to more that sixty (60) senior citizens.

In a statement, Halo Foundation announced the partnership with Dr. Salem Zreibi of Progressive Vision and the Swiss Embassy in the Dominican Republic to offer the essential services. The Foundation said this initiative forms part of its ongoing mission to serve the vulnerable.

“Thanks to the unwavering support and compassionate care provided by Dr. Salem Zreibi, and under the outstanding leadership of Teffenah Otto of the Halo Foundation, the gift of sight was successfully restored to 60 elderly citizens aged between 54 and 92, in Part Two of the program,” the statement said.

It added that this heartfelt initiative exemplifies the profound importance of giving back to the communities. Each individual. who once faced the challenges of impaired vision, now has renewed hope and independence, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Halo Foundation’s team and their partners.

“Dr. Zreibi’s support and care have been instrumental throughout this project, offering not only medical expertise but also a compassionate presence that uplifted the spirits of those served. His commitment underscores the vital role of medical professionals in community outreach and social responsibility,” the statement noted.

Led by Teffenah Otto, Halo’s project management excellence ensured the seamless execution of this life-changing initiative. From planning and coordination, every step was handled with precision and dedication, reflecting the Foundation’s core values of service, compassion, and community empowerment.

“This project, entitled “Future Bright with the Gift of Sight” highlights the transformative power of giving back”, said Otto. “We are honoured to have played a part in restoring vision to our elders by providing them with glasses at no cost.”

The Halo Foundation remains committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need. This successful project serves as a reminder of the profound impact that compassion, collaboration and community engagement can have.

The Halo Foundation was started by Sandra Lady Williams, who serves as President and Founder, and is this year celebrating its tenth annum of operation.
