The St. Joseph’s Academy Alumni Association Inc. (SJAAAI) has presented a donation of $13,400.00 to their alma mater, St. Joseph’s Academy, for the installation of two air conditioning units in the Teachers’ Room.

This week, members of the Association handed over the cheque to Rudolph Davis, Principal of SJA, in a brief ceremony at the school. The A/C units—already installed and visible in the background—represent SJAAAI’s ongoing commitment to improving the teaching and learning environment at the institution.

Pictured at the handover were (from left to right):

Mr. Rudolph Davis, Principal of SJA
Dr. Dane N. Abbott, President of SJAAAI
Mr. Colin Derrick, Esq., Vice President of SJAAAI

Also contributing to the initiative but not pictured was Dr. Ken Samuel, Esq., Chairman of the SJAAAI Fundraising Committee.

This donation marks just the beginning of a larger undertaking by the Association. The next major goal is to raise over $100,000 for critical repairs to the Thomas Armstrong Wing, the original and historic wing of the school. SJAAAI is calling on all alumni to lend their support—whether through financial contributions, in-kind donations, or other means—to help preserve and restore this vital part of SJA’s legacy.

Persons wishing to contribute can contact Orden Joseph, Treasurer, at 764-6454, or reach out to any SJAAAI officer via WhatsApp through the alumni group chat.

As always, the Association moves forward with its motto in mind: “Ne Timeas” – Fear Not.
