A high-level delegation from Antigua and Barbuda joined regional partners in Grenada this week for a multidisciplinary workshop aimed at advancing integrated approaches to water security, climate resilience, and sustainable development.
The event brought together key representatives from the health, environment, tourism, and agriculture sectors, reinforcing the urgent need for cross-sector collaboration in building a water-secure Caribbean.
Antigua and Barbuda’s delegation included: Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health Colin O’Keiffe, Director of Agriculture Gregory Bailey, Sustainable Tourism Officer Dr. Adelle Blair and Technical Officer responsible for Watershed Management and Protected Areas Jaabari Reynolds.
Throughout the workshop, participants explored innovative solutions for managing water resources, mitigating climate impacts, and promoting sustainable livelihoods.
The team from Antigua and Barbuda actively contributed to sessions focused on policy harmonization, community engagement, and practical tools for improving watershed and protected area management.
