The High Commission of India, headquartered in Guyana and accredited to Antigua and Barbuda, recently marked a special milestone of a decade of celebration of International Yoga Day at the Coolidge Cricket Grounds.
Against the backdrop of this milestone celebration, the Honorary Consul of India, Vijay Tiwani, reflected on the journey, noting that the first celebration was held at Government House in 2015, made a meaningful presentation of a book on yoga’s significance to Lady Williams.
“International Yoga Day – observed every year – emphasizes the profound benefits of yoga for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. It promotes awareness of the importance of incorporating yoga into our daily routines to foster harmony, health, and peace across the globe.
“This decade-long tradition underscores yoga’s universal appeal and its role in promoting global unity and wellness,” Honorary Consul, Tiwani stated.
