Travis Peters Charged with Murder

The police have arrested and charged 31-year-old Travis Peters of Bendals with the murder of Jahvaughn Joseph of Jennings.

The incident occurred on Redcliffe Street around 3 a.m. on 16 December 2024. It is alleged that Peters shot Joseph while he was standing in the area. Joseph sustained a gunshot wound to his abdomen and was later pronounced dead at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre.

Further police investigations led to Peters’ arrest and subsequent charge for the offence.

He was expected to make his first appearance before the court on Wednesday.
