Pete Cummings of Nut Grove has been slapped with a bail of $30,000.00 when he appeared in the magistrate’s court on Wednesday to answer charges of breaking and entering as well as larceny.
The bail condition has a cash component of $5,000.00 with two sureties. Cummings has been ordered to report to the Nut Grove Police Outpost three times weekly. He was also ordered not to go to English Harbour (where the crime occurred) and to stay 50 feet away from the virtual complainant and not to interfere or make contact with the virtual complainant.
The court learnt that on May 2, 2025, Cummings and another individual broke into the business place of Marine Power Services in Cobbs Cross and stole a number of items including a stand-by generator, a power drill a set of business drawers and other items as well as $850.00 in cash. The stolen items had a total value of EC.$21,550.00
The case has been adjourned until 24th September.
