The Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to upgrade the skills of its Volunteer Corps with the completion of s course in Spanish.

The course was conducted at the Venezuelan Institute for Culture and Cooperation (IVCC), located in the capital city of St. John’s.

It was conceived by the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Karen Cabral and coordinated by the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Carmen Velásquez de Visbal.

During a recent graduation exercise, Ambassador Velásquez congratulated the IVCC professors and this special group of students composed by officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and volunteers who frequently support international activities hosted in this twin-island nation.

The Deputy Permanent Secretary Cabral, thanked Ambassador Velásquez for her receptiveness and the support of the Venezuelan government in turning this idea into a reality, which culminated in its first stage. She also encouraged the students to continue this path of learning Spanish, which will undoubtedly open up a world of personal and professional opportunities.

Finally, the students demonstrated their progress and mastery of the Spanish language through readings, compositions, songs, and other cultural activities.

Approximately 40 individuals participated in the training course.
