Antigua and Barbuda which has a large Dominican Republic nationals living here, is empathizing with the government people of that country over the recent tragedy where hundreds died when a nightclub roof collapsed unto patrons.
On Tuesday, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Clarence E. Pilgrim paid an official visit to the Consulate of the Dominican Republic in St. John’s.
The visit was made in light of the tragic incident that occurred last week at a nightclub in Santo Domingo, which claimed multiple lives and left several others injured.
Ambassador Pilgrim expressed condolences on behalf of the government and people of Antigua and Barbuda to the DR’s Ambassador, Yolanda Alexandra Victoria.
He also signed the condolence book opened for the occasion.
