The several meetings involving men who are supporters of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) have now been formalized into a formal organization with its own management structure within the party.
Coming out of a meeting held last week, an executive has been elected with a number of persons who will serve as trustees of the newly formed ABLP Men’s Action Group.
The executive comprises;
- Kevin Morgan – President
- Jean Pierre Bloodman – Vice President
- Malcolm Charles – Secretary
- Adrian Richardson – Treasurer
- Conliffe Philip – Public Relations Officer
- Board of Trustees: Damian Benjamin, Philip George, and Philip Isaac
Following the election of officers, the new president presided over the remainder of the meeting where the discussions centered around a number of issues namely;
- MAG would look to undertake the completion of work on the unfinished southern portion of the People’s Place. The intent is to transform the area into a social gathering area.
- Conduct fundraising efforts on Friday nights.
- MAG will assist with the HAPI program as a part of community outreach.
- Agree on a uniform for MAG
