The police have not yet made any public announcements on the identity of a decomposing body found in Swetes earlier this week.
Acting Commissioner of Police, Everton Jeffers told a press briefing on Thursday that the body was that of a male, but he declined to provide any further information noting that an x-ray had been done on the body and that a post mortem was conducted on Thursday. However, until the police have the results, he chose not to say anything further at this time.
The Acting Commissioner would not speculate on whether foul play was suspected in the death or whether the body was that of a young or an old man.
The results of the post mortem are expected to be made available sometime after they are presented to the police.
