Weekend Police round-up Alleged gas station fraudster surrenders

A young man suspected to carrying out a series of fraudulent activities at several
gas stations has turned himself into the police after a wanted bulletin was issued
for him.
This all happened on Saturday, when the police posted the bulletin for Jahlique
Hector of All Saints. Early Saturday, the police announced that they were
searching for a male suspect allegedly involved in defrauding several service
stations on the island


Hector reportedly went to four different service stations to request fuel, and upon
receiving the fuel, drove off without paying the pump attendants. At the time of the
alleged crime, he was seen driving a grey Toyota Vitz motor car, registration
number, A 62188.
However, following the issuance of the bulletin, Hector surrendered at the All
Saints Police Station. He was accompanied by his mother. Further investigations a
now ongoing into the incident.
Meanwhile, the police are appealing to owners of service stations to be more
vigilant and alert. They are further advised to put tighter security measures in place
to mitigate against such criminal behavior. Members of the public are also urged to
report all suspicious activities to the police without delay.

 

Police Search for Suspect in Supermarket Robbery
The police are searching for the male suspect involved in a robbery at Gloria's
Supermarket on Whenner Road.
Around 7:30 pm on Friday, July 19, the police responded to a report of robbery at
the said business place, where a male suspect held the cashier at gun point and
robbed the owners of an undisclosed amount of money.

The assailant fled the scene on foot toward the Cashew Hill area, then boarded a
vehicle. No one was injured.
He is said to be approximately 5ft, 5 inches in height, and wearing a pair of long
blue jeans pants, and a multicolored hoddie. He also had a black mask concealing
his face.
The police are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious person or
vehicle in the area, or have any information that can assist them with their
investigation to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at 462-3913 or the
Grays Farm Police Station at 462-0481.
Meanwhile, the police continue to appeal to business owners to pay closer attention
to safety and security of their businesses; especially during hours of closing.
