worldwide. In recognition of World Cancer Day, the Ministry reaffirms its
commitment to combatting this disease through various initiatives aimed at
prevention, early detection, and comprehensive care.
Minister of Health, Sir Molwyn Joseph, emphasized the importance of unified
efforts in the fight against cancer, stating, World Cancer Day serves as a poignant
reminder of the urgent need to address this global health crisis. Through
collaboration and proactive measures, we can make strides towards reducing the
burden of cancer and improving the quality of life for all affected individuals."
Public Relations Officer for the Ministry of Health, J’noure Smith-Kellman,
highlighted the significance of awareness campaigns in empowering communities
to take proactive steps towards cancer prevention. Smith-Kellman stated, As we
observe World Cancer Day, it is crucial to emphasize the importance of education
and early detection. By raising awareness and promoting regular screenings, we
can empower individuals to take control of their health and reduce their risk of
cancer.
