Antigua and Barbuda will host a meeting of the highly influential American
Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) Chapter Presidents with the opening set for
Sunday and the business sessions staring a day later.
The meeting will take place at the Sandals Grande Antigua Resort and Spa.
The four-day event will focus on travel in 2024 and beyond, and will see the
convergence of travel agent presidents from across North America attending this
historic gathering. Details of the agenda for the meeting or the number of delegates
that is expected have not been made public yet.
Among the local representatives from Antigua and Barbuda invited to attend are
Prime Minister Gaston Browne and Tourism Minister, Charles Fernandez, as the
travel agent sector continues to have a major impact on the tourism sector in
Antigua and Barbuda.
