Tuesday 20th November, 2018-All government offices and statutory bodies will close early on Thursday to give employees the opportunity to attend cricket at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Grounds (SVRCG).
Attorney General the Hon. Steadroy Benjamin speaking in parliament this afternoon informed the House that government has taken a decision to close all government offices and statutory bodies at 1pm on Thursday.
Minister Benjamin is also appealing to private sector employers to also give employees time off to attend the games.
The Women’s World T20 World Cup has arrived in Antigua, with the first semi-finals scheduled for Thursday at 4pm, West Indies versus Australia. The second semi-final will also be held on Thursday at 8pm.
The finals of the Women’s World T20 World Cup will be on Saturday at 8pm at the SVRCG.
