Wednesday 31st October, 2018-Ten national awards will be bestowed on Antiguans and Barbudans during the Independence ceremonial parade on Thursday morning.
A source close to the information without divulging too much, noted that the awards are in recognition of the contributions made by citizens in various areas of nation building.
There are reports that knighthoods will be among the national honours tomorrow that will be handed out by Governor General, His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams.
At least 50 nominations were submitted to National Honours Committee.
This year’s ceremonial parade in observance of the Antigua and Barbuda’s 37th anniversary of Political Independence has been shifted to Antigua Recreation Grounds, owing to the preparation of Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Grounds for women’s International Cricket.
