Health Inspectors Investigate Unsanitary Conditions at Restaurant

Wednesday 12th September, 2018 –The fast-food restaurant that has found itself at the centre of a controversy over unsanitary standards remained open for business on Wednesday, while an investigation has been launched.

Photos made public by an alleged disgruntled former employee show meat and poultry partly cooked and raw being stored outside of refrigerated facilities.The poor conditions of the kitchen where food is made to order for customers were also highlighted in the photos.

The restaurant has been the topic of many conversations  and was possibly the top trending story in Antigua on Wednesday.

Chief Health Inspector, Sharon Martin who was out of office on vacation said she was only made aware of the situation when she returned to work following vacation. She then dispatched a team of inspectors to the restaurant following a meeting.
