Monday 10th September, 2018-The National Office of Disaster Services is advising citizens and residents to pay close attention to weather updates and takes the steps necessary at this time as Hurricane Isaac churns in the region.
Hurricane experts say today (Monday) marks the peak of the 2018 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
In a statement, NODS says initial hurricane preparations should be undertaken, while people pay attention to the updates from the Met Office.
As the system moves closer and the projected path becomes more certain, NODS says it will provide additional information.
Latest weather updates forecast that Hurricane Isaac could begin to affect the islands by Thursday.
