Tuesday 19th June, 2018 –The police are reporting that a quantity of drugs was intercepted today at the General Post Office.
According to the Communications Department of the Royal Police Force, STRATCOM, Police Officers from Narcotics and the K-9 Unit while on routine patrol at the General Post Office at about 10:30am on Tuesday 19th June, 2018 intercepted a Brown cardboard box containing several boxes of cereals and other dry food items. The cereal boxes were checked and concealed inside each box were sealed packages containing plant material resembling the controlled Drug Cannabis.
The packages were weighed and amounted to 5.75 pounds, with an estimated wholesale value of EC $23,000.00.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
