Friday 11th May, 2018 – Employees of the Agricultural Extension Division walked off the job today in protest to unsuitable conditions in which they are made to work.

Bearing placards, the employees chanted outside their office for their concerns to be given urgent attention.

The Antigua/Barbuda Public Service Association is the union representing employees of the Agricultural Extension Division. Its President Sandra Williams says the concerns are mainly health and safety issues.

According to the ABPSA president, the issues date back several years and she is calling for the worker’s plight to be addressed, otherwise the union will have no other choice but to support the employees protest action.
