Chinese Eye Specialists to Return

Tuesday 6th March, 2018 – Health and Environment Minister Molwyn Joseph has confirmed that a group of Chinese Eye Specialists is expected to return to Antigua to carry surgeries on those suffering from ocular diseases within the next two months.

A group first came to Antigua approximately two years ago, where they operated on Antiguans and Barbudans with Cataracts and Pterygium.

The exact time of their arrival was not announced, wherein which the Chinese will be in Antigua. It is believed the details are still being worked out.

Minister Joseph says approximately 1500 citizens and residents have had their eye sights restored, thanks to the Chinese team and the government of Venezuela who also dispatched a team of eye specialists  to Antigua in 2015 that conducted similar surgeries.
